"Why I started Chaga and how it has helped me, my wife and my pet dog
A few years ago I had a close friend who found out he had pancreatic cancer.  In my quest to help him I started searching for natural cures because I am a firm believer in natural cures.  In my research I came across Chaga mushroom.  I kept looking it up and all write-ups I found about this mushroom did not have any negative information.  So my wife and I started simmering it in a crock pot and drinking it - it tastes to us like tea.   I would add water and change the Chaga when necessary but my wife did not like the crock pot on the counter so she moved it off the counter and this caused us both to stop drinking it.  After approximately a year I woke up one day feeling like I was beaten with a 2 X 4 and I could not function due to hurting all over really bad.  I visited my family doctor and was tested for Lyme disease which came back negative 3 different times.  At this time it was recommended I see a Rheumatologist. This Rheumatologist had me go for blood work and the results came back that my blood count was way off.  I was put on four different medications that equaled fifteen pills a day.  Taking these pills helped me somewhat to get myself going but the ache all over did not go away and I was only able to go up steps one step at a time.  I felt like I had turned into an old man overnight.  I was put on steroids for a couple of months.  I was told I had rheumatoid or psoriasis arthritis which basically they did not know what was wrong with me - just that I had an inflammation in my body.  I went back to the doctor and told her I did not care what they give me just make this feeling stop.  The doctor suggested I go on Enbrel which I did not want to do.  I remembered Chaga and I decided to quit all the medicines and start drinking Chaga again. Within two days I felt better than I did prior to taking all the medication.  I told the doctor I started drinking Chaga and would like to try it for a while. The doctor replied she would hold off for 10 weeks and redo all my bloodwork.   After 10 weeks I felt really good and all my blood work came back normal and the doctor was so impressed that she researched Chaga and bought some for herself.
In 2019 we took our 6 year old dog to several vets to find out if they could help his cough and bladder leaks.  We found out the cause for his cough was from chronic bronchitis and the bladder was a separate issue.  We were sent to a specialist  in October 2019 who did an ultrasound of his abdomen and was told he had a 12 centimeter (6 inch) tumor on his spleen and he had anywhere from 2 minutes to 2 months to live.  Surgery and chemo was suggested which I did not want him to go through this.  On the way home I thought about reading that Chaga prevents and can put cancer in remission.  So I started giving him Chaga when I got home via grating the black crust and mixing it with honey.  I give this to him 3 times a day and he is still with us as I write this in April of 2020.  My wife was skeptical that is might hurt him so she researched Chaga for dogs and found it to be beneficial in shrinking tumors and the success other pet owners experienced using Chaga.
